Sock Shenanigans

You've probably witnessed it - the great heist - your dog snatches your socks. Many dogs prefer socks - well, usually not their own tiny socks to wear but your giant socks. While you may be inclined to flip out, this can actually mean a quirky-ish sign of love from your dog. The main reasons dogs prefer socks are:

  • Scent - Your socks aren't that fresh after wearing them - downright stinky. But they are like a magnetic aroma to your dog because they smell like you and bonus if they are salty from your sweat.

  • Puppies - Socks can work great as soft teething buddies to help soothe their little gums.

  • Grab game - Socks are easy to grab in their teeth and lightweight enough to run to invite a chase game for more attention.

  • Scrumptiously soft - Besides a soft cotton concoction, socks are stretchy which make them more fun.

Naughty? Maybe. Naughty with admiration? Most definitely. Take a deep breath when your dog grabs your socks - unless you need to wear them! Just make sure your dog doesn't try to swallow the socks because that can lead to digestive issues. The perfect combo would be a dog toy that resembles a sock as much as possible.
